2022 Nissan Pathfinder Blazes A Trail Back to the Wild

The Nissan Pathfinder has blazed its own demographic trail since 1986 from hell-raising mud boggers to suburban soccer Moms. Now in its 5th generation the all new 2022 Nissan Pathfinder invokes its adventure roots.

Over the years the Pathfinder grew by some 10 inches in length, to accommodate 7 – 8 passenger 3rd row seating, ample cargo capacity and of course all those cup-holders and auxiliary electronics charging ports.

The 2022 Pathfinder is just shy of an inch shorter than the previous model but a hair wider and taller. These slight dimension tweaks and bolder exterior design features including a taller stance, more robust V-motion front grille, and integrated high-tech lighting elements, really deliver powerful new image.

The 2022 Nissan Pathfinder powertrain is a familiar but quite competent 3.5 liter direct-injection 284 horsepower V6. To the relief of critics, owners and service techs, a new 9-speed auto with paddle-shifters replaces the CVT transmission, with gearing modifications that boosts on road pickup and off-road maneuvering.

With mild to wild adventuring the hot trend for Millennial buyers this infotainment, collision avoidance and driver assistance tech laden Pathfinder is a top contender at $45,000.
