2023 Genesis G90 Puts Grand Motoring First
As the waning generations of gearheads scan the horizon past 2035 when many of the world’s greatest carmakers have pledged to stop building new fossil fuel internal combustion engines, the moaning and weeping is reaching a dull roar.
Then the new 2023 Genesis G90 AWD 3.5T E-Supercharger rolls in and for a few moments behind the wheel we are reminded of the sublime excellence of a great motor car.
This G90 goes full traditional with a sedan of limousine proportions and amenities, imposing at a standstill stretching 207.7″ long on a 125.2″ wheelbase. Speaking of stretching, rear seat legroom is 37.2″, and 42.3 up front. Luxuriously seating 5 the G90 regally pampers passengers with the elaborate central fold down rear screen display and controls.
At just shy of 5,000 lb this Genesis does 0 – 60 in about 5.1 seconds, pumping 409 hp from a 3.5-liter twin turbo V6 with an electric supercharger, transferred to all four wheels by an 8-speed automatic.
The opulent leather seating and the tech array is dazzling and help support a Genesis G90 sticker, taxes and fees of well over $100,000.
