Hyundai Will Ride EV Era To Wider Global Growth
Driven by impressive innovation and enormous investment, Hyundai has in the past 20 years powered its way, along with S. Korean cousin Kia, to being the 5th largest global carmaker, outpacing General Motors.
Hyundai has done exceptionally well meeting the demand for SUVs of varying sizes led by the resplendent 7-passenger flagship Palisade, the firmly established and just revised family hauler Sante Fe, the newly updated Tucson compact SUV and particularly the new Santa Cruz small pick-up.
The Kitschy but practical Santa Cruz, was created almost as an after-thought from the bones of the new Tucson, outsold Corvettes for a few months as a top-selling model. The pick-up bed is great for messy cargo, and Santa Cruz is rated for towing from 3,500 – 5,000 lb.
The Hyundai trail forward has already been blazed by the Kona EV which has been highly rated against top tier players. The new all electric Ioniq 5 is rolling out now to good buzz, and 300 mile range full sized SUV EV concept SEVEN with production versions due out in 2024 … is wowing even EV skeptic motor press wags.
