Infiniti On A Styling Spree To Get Looks Up To Speed

Up against formidable competition in the premium luxury performance class, Infiniti has an uneven record. Even with heart-pounding motor sports based performance and technology innovations that make it a leader in semi-autonomous driving, Infiniti styling has been handsome at best but overall a bit matter of fact.

Some of the track-bred aspects of Infiniti performance and driving dynamics are flat out better than its competitors including the dominant Euro pack. So as key nemesis Lexus has aggressively revamped looks and performance in recent model years, Infiniti is getting more fashion forward.

This year Infiniti introduces the Q60 luxury coupe, a production version of S60 concept car that wowed last year’s auto show circuit. Sporting a wide and dramatic stance with a blend of muscle and a flowing subtlety, the Q60 will rock and roll with a twin-turbo 3-Liter V6 pumping out 400 horsepower.

The real styling and performance winner in the Infiniti stable is the under-appreciated QX70 crossover. Especially in the custom sport edition with blacked out wheels and grill, the QX70 pulls off SUV style and convenience without wimping out in performance and driving excitement for nearly $60,000.
