Kia Seltos SX Turbo AWD … An Upstart Success In The Line-up

In the furious rush to churn out new models to fill every possible demand niche … the Kia Seltos tends to get lost in the shuffle as it is positioned between the pop iconic compact Soul and the long running roomier Sportage SUV.

And yet since its US intro in 2021, this Kia model has found an audience as a sharp looker, not too big, not too small, value packed … just right multi-function small family rig.

In a mysterious Pluton Blue, the square-ish profile distinguishes the Seltos from the many small zooming egg shaped crossovers and provides both an exterior and interior sense of added dimension.

A 2024 refresh offers a new grille, updated front and rear lighting with the latter adopting a light bar to connect the taillight assemblies.

The Kia Seltos is offered with a choice two of 4 cylinder options, from the base 2 liter, to the newly turbocharged 1.6 delivering a 20 horse bump to 195 horsepower. Though no race car the Seltos, base priced at $25,715, with a loaded SX All Wheel Drive doing a respectable 0 – 60 in a tad under 7 seconds.
