Mini Me Record

On Saturday August 3rd, aiming for a Guinness World Record, the world’s largest-ever parade of MINIs, a convoy of more than 1,451 of the diminutive darlings will converge on Mackinaw City, MI, heading for a mass crossing of the spectacular 500 foot high Mackinac Bridge, where the official car count will be made. Needless to say MINI owners are a passionate group!

The growing selection of models from MINI from the original coupe and roadster, soft and hardtop convertibles and the utility rear loading clubman, all aim at expanding its audience.

A recent test drive of the latest MINI Paceman – the 2-door version of the larger format Countryman – made a big impression in terms of spaciousness and easy access to the low slung cabin for a standard 6 footer. In fact the ergonomics and interior design of the MINI make it amazingly genteel!

On the other hand the ride and driving experience is all feisty fun with a turbocharged 181 horsepower directed injected 4 cylinder engine, surefooted full time all wheel drive, and a solid Getrag 6-speed manual transmission. For $39,000 fully equipped, the MINI Paceman delivers with passion.
