Philly Auto Show Rolls On Optimistic News

The 2012 Philadelphia Auto Show rolls into the Convention Center this weekend with great optimism as the continued strength of the US car market appears to be a leading indicator of a wider economic recovery.

Highlights of the show include newly the redesigned 2013 Ford Escape small SUV, the popular compact Fusion sedan, and the all new five-seat CMax plug-in hybrid electric vehicle being imported from Spain.

From Chrysler/Fiat blended family the revived Dodge Dart model returns as a 2013 model with Alfa Romeo DNA — and the “small but wicked” Abarth performance edition Fiat 500.

From GM comes new additions to the Cadillac including a sumptuous larger XTS front wheel drive luxury sedan with a new 303-horsepower 3.6-liter gas direct-injection V-6, sharing a platform with the acclaimed Buick LaCrosse. With the XTS and an all new ATS model Cadillac is gunning for BMW, Mercedes and Audi converts with the most credible entries yet in that class.
