Simeone Museum Host 2nd Annual 24 Heures du Simeone: A Celebration of Le Mans History

The 24 Hours of Le Mans endurance race this weekend in France is the buzz worldwide. Here in Philadelphia the Simeone Foundation Automotive Museum, the world’s greatest collection of antique and classic race cars, is hosting its 2nd annual non-stop 25 hour celebration of this legendary Grand Prix.

Thousands of gear heads will gather from 9:00 AM this Saturday to 10:00 AM on Sunday at the museum, in southwest Philadelphia for historic race car demos and inside details of the world’s greatest endurance race. With legendary Le Mans vehicles like the Ford GT40 MKII, Porsche 917 LH, and the 1964 prototype Shelby Cobra Daytona Coupe from the museum collection, history comes alive for visitors seeing these iconic cars up close and in action.

This 25 hour event also features live screenings of the 24 Hours of Le Mans race from France, classic race film showings, and special guest speakers from the motorsport world. Attendees can look forward to midnight cinema sessions, interactive presentations, and lots of Le Mans history.
