New 4th Generation Hyundai Tucson Leads Growing Family!

As auto journalists scattered across the Arizona desert recently test driving the all new 4th generation Hyundai Tucson compact SUV, the challenges of rock strewn trails and loose gravel hair-pin turns on narrow mountain roads seemed just right for this brand-leading crossover.

The new Tucson boasts a contemporary sensuous sportiness in a 6-model selection from $23,000 to $32,000. The new look evokes motion and emotion, headed up by a new jewel-like front grille and complex lighting array including the signature disappearing running light.

The 2.5-liter, multi-port direct-injected 4-cylinder, 187 horsepower energy is just right for brisk on-road performance and bold if modest off-roading. The Tucson is also offered in turbocharged hybrid and plug-in hybrid powertrains.

The Hyundai Tucson features a new HTRAC AWD system with selectable Normal, Sport, Smart and Snow settings. The Sport mode boosts torque to the rear wheels giving it a rambunctious little mule kick.

The interior is cool and comfortable and yet bristles with technology all seamlessly integrated in a spacious environment. The very deliberately uncluttered interior is accented at nightfall with ambient mood lighting adjustable to 64 colors in ten levels of brightness.
